Zine Theme: "Iridescent Joy: What’s Inside Your Heart?"🫀🌈
10% of all ticket sales will be donated to Queerli, a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) organization that creates safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ communities
Queer Joy is about feeling comfortable in your own skin, expressing your love openly in your own personal way, doing what feels authentic to you, & feeling supported & loved throughout your journey. What better way to visualize this than through art!

⭐️Guided instruction on how to make a Turkish Fold Map zine
⭐️A complimentary coffee/tea and a cookie made by Nautilus Roasting!
I specifically chose the Turkish Fold Map technique for this zine workshop because this fold looks like a visual representation of opening up your heart, blooming, and feeling comfortable taking up space. I'm super excited to host this zine workshop for everyone and to see how everyone interprets the theme 🌈 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
⭐️ How It Works ⭐️
STEP 1: Arrive between 5:45-6pm to mingle & get your complimentary cookie & coffee/tea.
STEP 2: At 6:15pm, I (Cozy By Aliana) will teach you how to make a Turkish Map Fold Zine! I'll walk everyone through each step slowly. But I’ll only do the tutorial once so please be on time.
STEP 3: Craft/collage inside your zine with art supplies! The zine theme is “Iridescent Joy: What’s Inside Your Heart?” and the theme is there for you to interpret however you'd like. I’ll also give everyone a colorful bead to help inspire their zine’s color scheme :)
STEP 4: Around 8:10pm we’ll stop crafting to share how we interpreted the zine’s theme & take a group photo (Optional if you want to join in)!

🚗 Parking Info 🚗
The venue (Nautilus Roasting) is on the ground floor of a mixed-use building, and there are apartments above it. If you are looking at the entrance of Nautilus Roasting, to the right, there is an entrance to covered parking underneath the apartments (a ground level parking garage).
BY CAR 🚗 There are 10 marked cafe spaces, but you can park in any space for this event, even the ones marked GEI for the event (as this event is after GEI's business hours)
BY TRAIN: 🚂 The venue (Nautilus Roasting) is also 10-minute walk from the Huntington LIRR train station!

The venue (Nautilus Roasting) is wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp from the road/parking area, and the bathroom is ADA compliant.
